Today travel through the wild, rugged Himalayan landscape to the picturesque city of Pokhara. Nestled in a tranquil valley at an altitude of 827m, Pokhara is a place of natural beauty. The serenity of Phewa Lake and the magnificence of the fish-tailed summit of Machhapuchhre (6977m) rising behind it create an ambiance of peace and tranquility.
Day 4 - 5 Chitwan National Park
Travel through the mountains to the plains. The park is wildlife viewing at its best. Seize the opportunity to ride an elephant through the national park on safari before you join a guided hike through the Park in search of the Royal Bengal tiger and one-horned rhino. There will also be time for canoeing, bird watching or to visit an elephant breeding centre.

Leave Chitwan to travel to Lumbini the great Buddhist pilgrimage centre and birthplace of the Buddha.
Day 7 - 9 India/Nepal Border & Varanasi
