Day 1 Arrive Tangiers
Arrive in Tangiers at any time.
Day 2 Tangiers/Chefchaouen (B)
In the lively city of Tangiers, discover the colourful doors of the Kasbah with the Grand Socco and marvel the Caves of Hercules. Admire the splendid view from the Cape of Malabata, where the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea meet. Venture to the Rif Mountains to explore the simple yet beautiful city of Chefchaouen.
Day 3 Fez (B)
Travel through the rolling hills for the Rif Mountains to Fez, stopping for a break at the little town of Ouezzane. Spend the afternoon visiting the Fez souks and the vast array of carpets, silver, leather and much more, while immersing yourself in the glorious maze of people and treasures.
Day 4 Fez (B)
Fez is an ancient city that will amaze you at every turn. Admire the tile work of the Nejjarine Fountain, enjoy the spectacular view of Fez from the roof top of the Bou Inania Medersa, peer through some of the amazing windows of the Mellah and visit the Jewish quarter. Watch how true Moroccan pottery is made just outside of the city before taking some time to explore on your own.
Day 5 Meknès/Rabat (B)
After leaving Fez, we explore the Roman ruins of Volubilis, the largest and best preserved Roman ruins in Morocco. We then visit Meknès and get lost in the fantastic olive markets or the massive Roua stables that once held 12,000 horses, explore the impressive Royal Palace exterior in Rabat.
Day 6 Casablanca/Marrakech (B)
Explore this mysterious city made famous in the 1943 film bearing its name. Today Casablanca is a vibrant metropolis with the second largest religious monument in the world, the Hassan II Mosque. Continue to Marrakech to wander through the souks or sit back and relax in a cafe to watch the Moroccan culture in the famous Jemaa el Fna Square.
Day 7 Marrakech (B,D)
Nothing captures the sheer size of the the Koutoubia Minaret like a morning walk. The architecture is impressive at the Bahia Palace, with its decorative carved stucco, woodwork, and ceramic tiles. Spend some time admiring the complex tombs at the Saadian tombs. Enjoy the a break under the orange trees in the gardens surrounding this fascinating complex.
Day 8 Depart Marrakech (B)
