Day 1 Arrive Cairo
Arrive in Cairo at any time.
Day 2 Cairo (B,D)
Cairo is an exciting mix of history and contemporary metropolis. Enjoy a half-day guided tour of the Great Three Pyramids in Giza, ride camels, join the locals for coffee and wander through the bazaars.
Day 3-4 Aswan (2B,D)
Take a felucca ride around the islands of the Nile. Visit Elephantine Island, Aga Khan Mausoleum and the botanical gardens on Kitchener's Island. Stop by a Nubian village to get a feel for the local surroundings. An optional tour to Abu Simbel will let you see some of the most magnificent monuments in the world.
Day 5-6 Felucca Trip (2B,2L,2D)
Sail in a traditional sailboat along the Nile. Stop in Kom Ombo and visit the Temple of Kom Ombo. Enjoy the sights along the Nile and savour the beautiful stary nights.
Day 7-9 Luxor (2B,2D)
This city has been home to the treasures of the Luxor and Karnak Temples for centuries. A donkey ride takes you to the Valley of Kings and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. There is an opportunity to take an exciting hot air balloon ride to see the city from a different view.
Day 10-11 Alexandria (2B)
Explore the catacombs of Kom Ash-Shuqqafa, the largest Roman burial site in Egypt and the modern Bibliotheca Alexandrina, built to hold over 8 million books. Visit the fascinating Greco-Roman Museum and stroll down the waterfront to the historical Fort Qaitbey.
Day 12 Mt Sinai (B)
Journey to Mt Sinai where pilgrims have sought shelter since the 4th century. Climb the mountain for a glorious desert sunset.
Day 13-14 Dahab (2B)
Dahab, the city of gold, derives its name from its yellow sand beaches. Known for windsurfing and scuba diving, enjoy your time in the sun exploring this beautiful city.
Day 15 Dahab - Cairo (B)
Return to Cairo by private car or minibus. Arrive in the afternoon; you are free to depart any time after 6pm.
