Day 1 Arrive Paris
Arrive in Paris at any time.
Day 2-3 Beaune
Today, our destination is Burgundy, and the charming town of Beaune, known for its Pinot Noirs and local markets. Taste some local wines at one of the town's many cellars; the next day is free. Perhaps enjoy a side trip to Dijon - or another stop at a local winery!
Day 4-5 Avignon
Head to the heart of Provence, and the spectacular medieval walled town of Avignon, taste the world class wines of Chateauneuf du Pape on a half-day excursion, and try the mouth-watering Provençal cuisine.
Day 6-7 Nice
Travel to the Mediterranean coast and the Cote d'Azure's cosmopolitan capital, Nice. Soak up the sun on the promenade and flit the night away in some of France's best bars and trendy restaurants. Enjoy a day trip to tiny Monaco, visiting the famous Monte Carlo casino en route.
Day 8-9 Cinque Terre
Spend two nights in stunning Cinque Terre, where five little villages are built into the rocks between the beach and the hills. Hike, swim, drink wine, and watch amazing Mediterranean sunsets. Follow the ancient footpaths through olive groves, vineyards, and orchards.
Day 10-11 Florence
After a stop at Pisa, explore the Tuscan capital that inspired the fathers of Italian Art, birthplace of the Italian language and the Italian Renaissance.
Day 12 Rome
Jump on a train south to the bustling Italian capital, Rome. Rome exudes history; from its mysterious Catacombs to the imposing Colosseum and Palatine Hill.
