Day 1 Arrive Lima
Arrive in Lima at any time.
Day 2-4 Puno / Lake Titicaca (B,L,D)
Fly to the town of Puno on the shores of spectacular Lake Titicaca. Take a boat trip to visit Taquile and the Uros Islands before immersing yourself in Peruvian rural life with a homestay in a small village. Return to Puno on Day 4.
Day 5 Cuzco
Enjoy spectacular views on this full day of travel from Puno to Cuzco through the high Altiplano region.
Day 6 Ollantaytambo
Travel with our local guide through the Sacred Valley and visit the majestic Pisac archaeological site. Continue to the last living Inca town of Ollantaytambo before preparing for the hike ahead.
Day 7-10 Inca Trail (3B, 3L, 3D)
Begin a once in a lifetime journey on the ancient trail of the Incas with a morning trip to km 82, where our hike starts. Local porters and guides ensure that the trip is worry-free, and fascinating ruins and spectacular mountain scenery fill every day of the hike. On the final day, climb the steps to Intipunku, the 'Sun Gate', to watch the sunrise over Machu Picchu. Return to Cuzco by train in the afternoon.
Day 11 Cuzco
Often considered the Mecca of Peru, Cuzco has a friendly, colonial atmosphere. The town offers nearby Inca sites, museums, markets and ornate churches and a plethora of outdoor excursions.
Day 12-17 Amazon Jungle (5B, 5L, 5D)
Fly from high in the Andes to Puerto Maldonado, deep in the lowlands of the Amazon jungle. Travel by motorized canoe to our lodge in the Tambopata Rainforest Area, which holds the world record for the most bird sightings in one area. Climb a canopy tower and get a bird's eye view of the Amazon. Explore the jungle by canoe and on hikes with expert local guides, spotting macaw, parrots, otters and other jungle life. Spend three nights at the Tambopata Research Centre, famous for the world's largest macaw clay lick and a healthy monkey population. Fly back to Lima for a final Pisco Sour.
Day 18 Depart Lima
