Our most extensive voyage to the world's remote wilderness! Our package includes flights and extra days in 'the Paris of the Americas', Buenos Aires, and a 22 night voyage giving extended time in the seldom visited Falkland Islands, South Georgia Island and in the mystical continent of Antarctica. Spending a full day at a King Penguin rookery and slowly exploring the untouched coastlines of these remote sub-antarctic islands. Making our way south to the South Shetland Islands and Antarctic Peninsula, home to some of the planet's most impressive wildlife and dramatic landscapes.

Day 1 Arrive Buenos Aires
Arrive in Buenos Aires at any time.
Day 2 Fly to Ushuaia
Fly south to Ushuaia. Use your free afternoon and evening to enjoy the world’s southernmost city.
Day 3 Ushuaia Tierra del Fuego National Park
Enjoy a morning tour to Tierra del Fuego National Park before boarding the expedition ship in the afternoon.
Day 4 At Sea
Meet your guides, ship crew and lecturers during the crossing. Learn the extraordinary human and natural history of the Antarctic region as we begin our lecture and information sessions.
Day 5-8 Falkland Islands
The Falkland Islands provide a rare opportunity to witness the biological diversity and extraordinary scenery of the southern islands. With an extended 4 full days here we have the chance to slowly explore both the East and West Islands. Home to the largest Black Browed Albatross colony in the world, the Falkland Islands are abundant in its wildlife including Penguins and Albatross. Port Stanley, the capital and only one true city in the Falkland Islands, provides an opportunity to meet the hardy locals whose colourful houses provide a contrast against the long dark winters.
Day 9-10 At Sea
Sail east towards South Georgia, keeping your eyes peeled for whales and seabirds along the way.
Day 11-15 South Georgia
Enjoy an extended 5 full days on this mystical island with the chance to explore some of the more remote and less visited parts of this already far removed island. Home to many marvels, including Shackleton’s Grave, South Georgia is a former whaling station and home to prolific wildlife. A full day visit to a huge colony of King Penguins is a major highlight of this part of the journey.
Day 16-17 At Sea
Turn south and sail for two days, retracing Shackleton's route backwards as we head towards Elephant Island and the Antarctic Peninsula.
Day 18-22 Antarctica
Experience some of the most unique wildlife viewing and inspiring scenery in the world as you set foot on the Antarctic continent. Take two excursions per day (conditions permitting), and encounter Gentoo, Chinstrap and Adélie penguin rookeries, Weddell, Crabeater and Leopard seals, as well as Orca, Humpback and Minke whales in the cold Antarctic waters. The Peninsula also has a remarkable human history. During the voyage we will learn about some of the most important and dramatic expeditions to this remote corner of the world.
Day 23-24 Drake Passage
Reflect on our memorable adventure and take in some final lectures as we head back to Ushuaia. Keep your eyes peeled for a last chance to spot whales.
Day 25 Ushuaia
Have one final breakfast on the expedition ship before heading to the airport and flying to the vibrant city of Buenos Aires.
Day 26 Buenos Aires
Today is free to explore Buenos Aires. In the evening join your fellow travellers for a farewell dinner and an unforgettable Tango show.
